*Ground beef is “chubbed” = 1 lb packages, vacuum packed in clear square “bricks”that stack nicely in the freezer, don't leak on the kitchen counter, and retain the quality of the beef longer in the freezer.

Purchase cost for this half = $817.50 (218 lb x $3.75 per pound)

Total cost for this half = $1044.74

Cost for a quarter (split half) would have been be $522.37 total. The yeild for a quarter would have been 75 pounds in the freezer.
