Family Reunion

reuniongolfAfter decades of holding the annual family reunion under the old maple tree at the Hammar Homestead in Holt, Michigan, the family decided it was time to move the reunion, and chose to hold it under the old maple tree at our farm startiing in 2008.

What better place to hold a family reunion than the farm? Good food, good fellowship, lots of games, hay rides, animals, and lots of room to run around... we have a great time when the family gets together at Wild Rose Meadows farm.

The annual reunion is held the last Saturday of July each summer. Attendance is usually 35 - 70 people.

Beverages, meat and table service are provided. Each family brings a dish to share if convenient. There is always plenty of food, so if someone is coming a long distance, they don't need to bring anything at all. Shoes and socks are recommended for those who want to walk around the farm.

Activities usually include group games like egg toss, water balloon toss, marshmallow golf, etc. A hayride caps the activities. A good time is had by all.

People begin arriving at 11 am to help set up tables and chairs. Lunch is served at noon.
