Sheep and Goats
Our Shetland Sheep are offspring of stock first importedto the United States from the Orkney Islands off the northern coast of Scotland in 1991. These are the sheep from which lambswool sweaters are made. The Scottish government prohibited exporting their sheep after 1998. We shear the sheep in April each year.
A number of goats have come to live at Wild Rose Meadows - Fainting Goats, Saanens, Nigerian dwarf, Nubian and Boer.
